NDC has been member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) since 1999.

ANNA has over 60 members from all over the world, which act as National Numbering Agencies (NNA) in their respective countries and allocate International Securities Identification Numbers (ISINs) for securities and other financial instruments.

The methodology and rules for ISIN allocation developed and used by NDC for Russian financial instruments guarantee that the data on Russian securities and their ISINs are both accurate and reliable.

As the National Numbering Agency for Russia, NDC performs the following tasks:

• allocates ISIN codes to Russian securities and other financial instruments;
• maintains a database of ISINs assigned to Russian securities on its web-site www.isin.ru;
• disseminates information on ISINs among Russian stock market participants;
• promotes the use of ISINs on the Russian securities market;
• takes part in the creation of an efficient international securities identification system.
